Akawe Technologies is a custom software development company that is Indigenous & LGBTQ2S owned and controlled that offers custom software development through an Indigenous lens. They also  focus on other areas such as government and Indigenous relations. Their moto is “we build solutions, not just applications and websites.” 

They are entrepreneurs that believe positive social change  comes from a thoughtful integration of technology. Among their realisations is the Akawe Telemedicine Platform, which is an example of their worldview:  as it connects healthcare providers with Indigenous patients through live video and provides a secure portal for patients to later access the recorded conversations, provider notes and additional educational resources.
