Using Data to Address Wicked Problems

This session was presented as part of Future Cities Canada: #UnexpectedSolutions.

Jean-Noe Landry, Executive Director, Open North; Alex Miller, President, Esri Canada; Duane Nicol, Chief Administrative Officer, City of Selkirk, MB; and Nabeel Ahmed, Senior Program Officer, Open North

Many of the challenges that communities face can be considered to be wicked problems; which are complex problems that are difficult to define and feature differing perspectives, and thus do not lend themselves to a purely technical approach. This webinar features a discussion on how data can be used for problem-solving, including a four-step cluster model that can help engage community stakeholders.
